Information on Liver.net Biobank now online available!

26 November 2014

The Liver.net Biobank collects and stores left over samples of patients suffering from liver diseases. These samples are provided to SFB 841 research projects and are linked with clinical data of the patients via pseudonym.

This allows the validation of laboratory experiments in human tissue samples, and therefore the development of new diagnostic methods, therapeutic principles and better understanding of the body’s own repair and healing mechanisms.

Access to the samples is given via an official application to the Liver.net steering group. Detailed information about the Biobank and the application procedure is now online available.
